Meine Nachdichtung folgt wieder der englischen Version von Vladimir Markov und Merrill Sparks: A Girls Dream She fell asleep hearing words of a song. In it, bearing excitement, was that ‘Mine’ Which flowed into the tender word called ‘Thine’. The girl froze in a sleep – grisly-sweet and long. And then she dreamed … Out of her womb softly a grass blade grew. A stream splashed in a lake. A beautiful, not terrifying, snake Stroked her. The stem spread out into a tree. Into the sky thick branches stretched about, And there birds and gold apples came to linger. Thunder and lightning shaking, would not leave her. More trees would sproud. And then forests grew out … And someone slipped a ring shiny as fever Upon the newly-chosen Queen’s fourth finger. . |
